National title to NTPC team


NTPC team came first in the national level contest of the "National Management Games-2011 conducted by All India Management Association. (AIMA) held recently at Delhi. The team comprising four members consisted of Ashish Aggarwal, Sr. Finance Officer; Gaurav Gulati, Sr. Finance Officer; Munesh Sharma, Sr. HR. Officer and K.M Prashanth, DGM (Corporate Communication). The 'Management Games' enable the participants to manage a real business in a simulated environment where they undergo pains and gains of running a company in a competitive environment. The participating teams take strategic business decisions and see the impact through AIMA's indigenously developed software 'Chanakya'. The philosophy behind the management simulations is "learning by doing".

Nearly 125 Corporate consisting of leading PSUs, Private Companies and MNCs participated in the competition. Initially, regional level competitions were held at four cities namely Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi. The winners of the regional level participated in the national finals.

The management games enable the participants to manage a real business in a simulated environment where they will go through the pains and gains of running a company.

The four-member team comprised of senior finance officers Ashbh Aggarwal and Gaurav Gulati, senior HR officer Munesh Sharma and DGM (corporate communication) KM Prashantn. Nearly
