The AIMA has consistently produced graduates capable of matching
the employer’s expectations and this has been reaffirmed everytime.
Not only did existing recruiters maintain their relationship with
AIMA through recruiting AIMA's students but many new recruiters
also came down to recruit based on the growing reputation of AIMA
graduates. Companies like Tata AIG, Aviva, Future Soft, Navigant
Technologies, Synovate Research, Lobointerim, Gecis, Institute of
Clinical Research continued their association with the Institute.
At AIMA, placement is not an event, it is a process. The placement
cycle begins with counseling early in the programme and continues
with live exposure to the industry and its dynamics throughout,
culminating in the placement of a student.
PRE-PLACEMENT TALKS
Pre Placement Talks (PPTs) are aimed at the graduating class students
with the objective of addressing the student concerns about what
the company has to offer in terms of employment.
MOCK INTERVIEWS
Mock Interview sessions are taken up for judging the students on
certain fixed parameters. The students are ranked accordingly and
a separate appraisal file is maintained which helps in placing them
as per their competencies, capabilities and knowledge levels.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
With the intention to enhance student employability and strong candidature
in interviews the Placement Cell has started a Training and Development
Workshop for AIMA students. Monthly sessions are carried out to
make it more effective. This session is being carried out in the
Study Centers as well as in the AIMA Campus. Four sessions have
been conducted so far. The content for this workshop includes Corporate
Industry updates as well as personal grooming of the students.
The Training and Development Workshop was carried out in Delhi Institute
of Management and Services, Barakhamba Road and DIMS Institute
of Management Studies, ITO. This workshop focused on Resume Writing
and Interview skills. Mock Interview Sessions were conducted for
grooming the third and fourth module students.
This kind of session helps to develop student’s personality
and enhance their communication skills that are crucial for existence
in today’s corporate world. The topics covered were:

In our endeavor to strengthen the placement services for our students,
we conducted a Placement Survey keeping in mind the need for maintaining
the student databank with updated information. Placement survey
forms were sent to the students of PGDM / PGDITM module III and
IV to be returned to the undersigned. Those who have not received
the same can contact the undersigned or Placement Manager of their
concerned Study Centers.
