POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION TECHNNOLOGY MANAGEMENT


AIMA-CME initiated the designing and launching of one of its flagship Programme PGDITM on IT Management in 1994. The perspective of IT Management has seen a major paradigm shift in terms of roles, responsibilities and skills addressing specific business activities. Today the focus is more on enterprise perspective, more knowledge grasps on varied business domain. This felt need has driven AIMA-CME to completely revise and revamp the structure and curriculum of the Programme. AIMA-CME has collaborated with HCL Infosystems Ltd. as Technology partners for delivering this Programme.  The revised PGDITM programme is aimed at developing IT professionals who will be fully equipped with the knowledge and competencies required for variety of roles like Business Analyst, Project Manager, IT Consultants and CIO/CKO.

OBJECTIVES

To provide the knowledge and competencies required for various roles in I T management career.

Develop conceptual and practical knowledge of IT applications such as Financial, Retail and Operations systems, managing change, knowledge management, project management, e-commerce and information risk management etc.

To impart practical trainings with the latest technologies used in Information Technology area.

Working Graduates.
Professionals such as Engineers/CAs/CFAs/ICWAs/Technologists.
Professionals such as Engineers, MCA aspiring to become managers.
Fresh Graduates who wish to combine their study with work. Also the programme can be pursued as an add-on in any other specialized stream of education.

Salient Features :

1. The programme is approved by Distance Education Council (DEC), Ministry of HRD, and Government of India
2. Programme Structure and syllabi as per current industry requirements.

4.Substantial Personal Contact Programme (PCPs) at AIMA-CME approved Study Centres.
   a. 30 hours PCPs (Theory classes) per subject i.e. 180 hours PCPs in the first module
   b. 30hours of practical training for two subjects per module at HCL Training Centres

6. Industry professionals and reputed academics for delivering PCPs.

11. AIMA offers Educational scholarships for economically weaker section students enrolled in AIMA’s PGDITM Programme.

Programme Structure :

PGDITM has a modular structure. There are four modules in this programme. The first, second and fourth modules are common to all programme participants. The third module is specialisation module where one has the option to select one specialisation from 4 areas: Information Technology Systems, Financial Systems, Retail Systems and operations systems. Modular certificate is awarded on successful completion of each module. The titles of the certificates are as follows :

Eligibility & Admission

Eligibility

Graduation (10+2+3) from any recognized University and MAT qualified as per AIMA norms.

Fee Structure : Rs. 30,000/-* per module payable before the start of each module.


Admission Procedure

Candidates seeking admission need to appear for MAT.

For MAT Bulletin and application form send a Demand Draft of Rs. 790/- in favour of AIMA-CMS payable at New Delhi (or obtain by cash payment of Rs. 750/- from AIMA counter, AIMA Study Centers, or from select branches of Bank of Baroda).

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of MAT scores would be invited for Interview, which will be conducted at Study Centers. They will be offered admission based on their MAT score and performance in Interview.

The selected candidates after receiving admission offer letter will send the filled in registration form along with three photographs (passport or stamp size), attested copy of graduation certificate / mark sheet, experience certificate (if any), a copy of MAT score card and a DD of programme fee of Rs. 30,000/- in favor of All India Management Association-CME payable at New Delhi.

The registration form, which comes with CME’s prospectus may be obtained from the AIMA
Counter/Study Centers on payment of Rs. 300 in cash or by post through a DD of Rs. 350 in favor of ‘AIMA-CME’, payable at New Delhi.


Duration

Four modules of six months each followed by comprehensive project work.
Session commences January and July every year.

Evaluation

On the basis of assignments, class participation and term-end examination. Examinations are conducted at the end of June and December every year.
