AIMA & LMA MEMBERSHIP - CORPORATE /INSTITUTIONAL
MEMBERS
Institutional Members shall comprise of any organisation of repute
in the Public, Private or Joint Sector engaged in industry, trade
or commerce, department, directorate or other agency engaged or interested
in training and development of management and/or administrative functions.
Corporate Members shall consist of an organisation in the Private,
Public or Joint sector, engaged in industry, trade or commerce, who
shall donate to AlMA a substantial sum as decided by the Council.
Such amounts would be used for specific AlMA projects only.
COMBINED INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS
Institutional Members of LMAs shall have the option of becoming Combined
Institutional Members of AlMA by paying double the subscription they
are required to pay for their membership of an LMA, subject to a minimum
of Rs. 1500 per annum. No entrance fee shall be charged by AlMA for
such conversion of membership.
MULTIPLE COMBINED
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS
This membership will be open to those companies who are already members
of the LMA where their Head Office is located and also Combined Institutional
Members of AlMA. Such Combined Institutional Members which have establishments
in locations where other LMAs exist, may become members of those LMAs
by paying subscription applicable to the appropriate category of those
LMAs.
SEPARATE INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS
Where there are no LMAs, an organisation can become a direct member
of AlMA by paying subscription as may be determined by AlMA from time
to time. However, when LMA is formed in their respective area, they
shall be entitled to become members of the appropriate LMA.
CO-OPERATING MEMBERS
Co-operating Members shall comprise of national or international organisation(s)
interested in and concerned with one or more aspects of management.
They may be invited by the Council to become Co-operating Members
for such period as may be decided. They are exempt from payment of
subscription.
Any organisation, department, agency or other
body eligible for membership under these regulations and desirous
of becoming a member shall send an application directly to membership
division of AlMA or through an appropriate Local Management Association
with its recommendations where applicable.
After the application has been scrutinised by the AlMA Secretariat,
it shall be placed before the Council and in taking a decision on
the application, the Council shall be guided by such consideration
as may be prescribed by the rules framed in that behalf by the Council.
Thereafter, the applicant will be intimated regarding the admission.
The Council may refuse any application for membership without assigning
any reason(s).
To apply for membership, please fill in the appropriate Application
Form in duplicate, and send it along with Demand Draft for the amount
of entrance fee and annual membership subscription, directly to
the Membership Division of AIMA.
After the application has been scrutinised by the AIMA Secretariat,
the Council will consider it. Thereafter, the applicant will be
intimated regarding the admission, giving the grade of membership
to which admitted, and the date of admission.
New members are enrolled on a financial year basis. Members admitted
between April and September shall have to pay full year's subscription,
whereas those admitted between October and March shall have to pay
half year's subscription. In both cases, entrance fee shall have
to be paid in full. List of all new members shall be published in
the 'AIMA News'. An annual list of members in each grade will also
be published.

one copy of bi-monthly 'AlMA News',
Concession
in Programme fees for Management Development Programmes including
special concession for National Management Convention, Advance Management
Programme for Strategic Choice and Organisational Repositioning (AMP)
and similar flagship programmes of AIMA.
Concessional
price for AlMA Publications and concessional hire charges for Management
Films.
Preference
to Institutional Members in sponsoring participants for overseas Management
Development Programmes.
Representing
identified 'causes' of Management and Managers.
Representation
on the Council of the Association which is the Governing body of AlMA,
on the basis of an all India election by Institutional Members.
Commercial
use of conference room and auditorium facilities.
Concessional
fee for students sponsored by member organisations to the AlMA short
term certificate courses in various disciplines.
Photocopies
of the original sources of the management abstracts at a nominal charge.

rates for LMA publications.
Participation
in meetings, discussions, film shows and other such programmes.

ADDITIONAL
In addition to the services / benefits available for Institutional
Members, the corporate members will be entitled to following services:
Prominent
Display in the building - The names of members in corporate category
will be prominently displayed at the office premises of AlMA.
One
page free advertisement in 'Indian Management' on annual basis - AlMA
publishes a monthly management journal called 'Indian Management'
carrying articles, case studies etc. written by renowned authors and
circulated to over 10,000 subscribers / members. The members in Corporate
category will be eligible to release one full page free of cost advertisement
in one year about their organisation in this journal.
Appropriate
acknowledgement in 'Indian Management' on a monthly basis - The 'Indian
Management' will carry names of members in Corporate category on a
monthly basis with due acknowledgement of their contribution to AlMA's
development activities.
One page free advertisement in the NMC Souvenir - AlMA brings out
a souvenir every year on the occasion of its National Management Convention
(NMC), which is distributed to the delegates attending the NMC. The
members in Corporate category will be eligible to release a one page
advertisement about their organisation in this souvenir free of cost.
In
addition to this, the members in Corporate category will be eligible
to sponsor free delegates to the NMC as detailed below:
Concessional
participation fee for sponsoring delegates to AlMA programmes - The
members in Corporate category will be given concession in the participation
fee for nominating participants to the training programmes, conventions,
seminars, etc. organised by AlMA as detailed below:
Priority
in registration for AlMA programmes - AlMA organises training programmes
regularly. Priority will be given to members in Corporate category
for registration of participants for such programmes.

NOTE
The Council will, from time to time, decide amendments to the entrance
fees and annual subscription rates for various categories of membership
of AIMA except the LMA schedules for Combined Institutional Members
where the provision for change has already been covered in the Rules
and Regulations of AIMA.
