N.M Kondap is Vice Chancellor and Professor of Marketing at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management & Higher Studies (Deemed University), Mumbai. He holds a Masters Degree in Engineering, Masters in Marketing Management from University of Mumbai, and Doctorate from University of Pune.

He has more than 27 years of industry and teaching experience. He has worked in companies like ABB, Voltas, Bharat Bijlee in different capacities. He has taught at various Management institutes like JBIMS, Sydneham, before joining NMIMS.

He has received the Best Faculty Award of NMIMS for the year 1998-99 and the coveted Award of “Best Innovations in Teaching” at the association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS).

He was on the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. He is also the member of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Social Infrastructure Committee. He is the Co-Chairman of the Education Committee of FICCI for the year 2007-08. And President of Bombay Management Association, for the year 2006-07 and Special invitee of IMCI, for the year 2006-07.

Indian Council of Management Executive conferred order of Merit 2005-Samajshri Award 2005 on Dr Kondap in November 2005.

Conferred the Amity Academic Excellence Award towards significant in the field of Education and Research by Amity International Business School on 23rd February 2007.

Prof. Bhalla has conducted a large number of studies with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Institute of Dev (Tokyo), EFMD (EU), USAID, Planning Commission, RBI and the UGC. He has received invitations from the IMF to be a seminars relating to adjustment and economic growth. He is visiting fellow at Bielefeld University, Germany and ID written 22 books and more than 120 research papers. He has been a member of the Government of India task force Enterprises and convenor of the UGC management panel. He serves on the board of several companies.

After completing his Masters from Punjab University, the first interest of Col. S C Mohan was teaching. It was during his teaching stint that the Chinese incursion took place and he offered to join the army. Having spent nearly 26 years in the armed forces on numerous Command 7 staff assignments all over the country which have given him vast and rich experience in many professional, managerial and human facets of life, Col. Mohan joined the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) on deputation whilst serving at Army Headquarters in the university’s nascent years. He contributed his bit in its early years of enormous growth and expansion.

He was the head of the Centre for Management Services (CMS) of AIMA. Under his guidance, AIMA’s Testing Services conduct tests like MAT, UGAT, R-MAT besides conducting Tests for Recruitment and Selection to Public and Private undertakings. The Rating of Business Schools, selection of Accredited Management Teachers, Career Fairs and enormous other initiatives of AIMA are undertaken with his control. He is widely travelled in India and abroad.

He has taken over as the chief executive of AIMA w.e.f. 15 Sep, 2007.

Prof. Rao, currently holds the position of Director, AIMA-CME, obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering from University of Mysore, Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Industrial Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He also obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Analysis (PGDFA) and Chartered Financial Analyst from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, Hyderabad.

Prof. Rao has over 25 years of teaching, research, academic planning, corporate and consulting experience in India and abroad. In his long span of academic career was associated with reputed B-schools and Management institutes including Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon; College of Commerce, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

He was associated with AIMA-CME as a Senior Faculty during the years 1995-97 and 2005-06 and was responsible for designing programs, development of study materials and Management Games besides coordination of Nodal centres. He also served as the Head of Economic & Investment Research, Consulting Centre for Finance & Investment, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He presented over 20 papers at National and International Conferences and his articles have been published in several international journals. A prolific writer on economy, capital markets and mutual funds and regularly contributes to various international e-journals and financial databases.

His areas of interest include corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, mutual funds and financial risk management.
