ABOUT CAREER FAIRS
With the challenges and opportunities available in today’s
world the young at large are finding it difficult to decide
on a career path, perhaps with inadequate awareness of various
other options available to them career decisions becomes more
complicated.
Centre for Management Services (CMS), a division of All ndia
Management Association has been organising career fairs titled
“Career Options” since 1998. The endeavour is
to provide our visitors career counselling & guidance
on professional courses and educate them on the wide range
of career alternatives present today. The
Career Options aims at equipping the students and their
parents with an understanding and appreciation of the potential
of professional education as a route to a successful career.

CAREER OPTIONS 2006
Quality education is a lifetime investment and has become
the most important aspect of one’s life. The Career
Fair is an effort of CMS through which we educate students
on different Career Options available to them in India and
abroad. After the success of Career Options 2005 at Jodhpur,
the positive response from the visitors and participants encouraged
us to present yet another education and career fair at Jodhpur
in association with Jay Narian Vyas University, Jodhpur from
2nd to 4th February 2006.
There were thirty participants in the fair and it was sponsored
by Aditya Birla Group (Essel Mining). Institutions provided
knowledge and in-depth information at a single platform. Careers
in Energy Sector, Engineering, Management, Distance learning,
Media, Information Technology and many more options were displayed.
Stall of Indian Army and Airforce attracted the young boys
and girls. United States Educational Foundation In India counselled
students on career opportunities in US. Professional Career
Counsellor from Rajasthan University, Jaipur was present during
the fair to provide free counselling to students. The event
was very well covered in the media.
Dr. (Mrs.) Naseem Bhatia, Vice Chancellor of J N Vyas University
inaugurated the fair. Mr. Ravi Kastiya, Group Executive President
Aditya Birla Group was the chief guest on the second day of
the fair. Mr. Anupam Srivastava, General Manager BSNL was
the guest of honour on the valedictory function.
On the basis of stall presentation, events conducted during
the fair and customer friendliness we announce first three
“Best Exhibitor Awards”. And winners of Jodhpur
fair were Amity Universe, Indraprastha College of Management
& Technology and Pran’s Media Institute.

CAREER OPTIONS 2004 - 2005
Career Options 2004 - 2005 started at Chandigarh on 3rd Nov.
2004 and took place over 3 days at DAV College, Sector –10,
Chandigarh. The fair was organized by AIMA in association
with Param Centre for Management Services and Chandigarh Management
Association (CMA). The fair was inaugurated by Mr. Rajan Gupta
(IAS), Transport Commissioner, Haryana. Mr. Charanjit Singh,
President (CMA) & Managing Director of Core Communications
Pvt. Ltd. was also present during the inaugural day of the
fair. Mr. S C Marriya, Principal - DAV College appreciated
our effort of bringing different professional institutions
on one platform for the benefit of the students.
AIMA and Rajiv Gandhi School for Management Studies and Research
organized the fair at Lucknow in association with Lucknow
Management Association. The fair was supported by UP Technical
University, Lucknow and bank of Baroda. Mr. V K Tiwari, Addl.
Commissioner of Income Tax, inaugurated the fair. Others present
at the event were Mr. Dilip Kumar, Secretary Lucknow Management
Association (LMA) and Mr. Jagdish Khatri Secretary Allahabad
Management Association. Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, President –
LMA & Vice Chancellor, King George’s Medical, Lucknow
addressed the visitors and exhibitors on the closing day of
the event and distributed prizes for different competition
conducted during the fair.
Next in the series was Jodhpur Fair. The fair was organized
from 10th to 12th January 2005 at Jaswant Hall, Jai Narain
Vyas University Campus in association with the Department
of Management Studies, Jai Narain Vyas University. The Fair
was inaugurated by Dr. Mrs. Naseem Bhatia, Vice Chancellor,
J N Vyas University. She was also present for the closing
ceremony of the fair to talk to the exhibitors. Bharat Sanchar
Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) sponsored the fair and media partner of
the fair was Dainik Bhaskar. Bombay Motors sponsored prizes
for different competitions and lucky draws.
Mr. Anupam Shrivastava, General Manager, BSNL (Jodhpur) met
all the exhibitors on the last day of the fair.
All the fairs were extremely well attended and were largely
publicised in the media. The fairs offered all the choices
available for shaping a career!
