AIMA's
NATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONVENTION (NMC)
Amongst many national events, the National Management Convention
organized by All India Management Association every year is deemed
by business and industry as a lead event in the Annual Management
Calendar of the country. Focussing on a theme of national importance,
the Annual Convention, which is the Flagship event of AIMA seeks
to generate an invigorating debate and through this provide an international
forum for the management community to discuss and recommend policy
options in specific areas of management. Rotated round the country,
the Convention attracts over 1000 managers representing all levels
in different sectors of business, industry and academics and students.
This year, the NMC is being jointly organized by AIMA and the Asian
Association of Management Organisations (AAMO), in collaboration
with the Calcutta Management Association, on the theme “Managing
New India”. The Convention will be held on 6-8 September
2007 at Hotel Oberoi Grand, Kolkata. Mr Sanjiv Goenka, Vice Chairman,
RPG Enterprises has agreed to be the Convention Chairman and Mr.
B Muthuraman, MD, Tata Steel is the Convention Co- Chairman.
The AIMA-AAMO 34th NMC will be unique as it will explore how the
innovative management systems and processes can utilize the large
pool of talent and resources available within India and firmly set
the country on the road to becoming an economic superpower. Indian
businesses are at the forefront of an economic revolution in the
making and this convention seeks to provide them with the knowledge
and skills to seize the opportunities.
