AIMA Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education
AIMA considers it a privilege to confer the second AIMA-Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education on Prof Dilip K Bandyopadhyay, Vice Chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, a dedicated, dynamic and accomplished academician and administrator.
The Award was presented at AIMA’s 15th Convocation, on 7 August 2010 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The Award was presented by Guests of Honour Mr RC Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and Mr M Damodaran, Former Chairman, Securities and Exchange Board of India.
AIMA honours distinguished and eminent personalities, who have made outstanding contribution in the corporate world and professional management every year by conferring fellowship, honorary fellowship and awards like JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award, Public Service Excellence Award and Life Time Achievement Award for Management.
To encourage Academic Leadership in the field of Management Education, AIMA decided setting up of a new award in 2009, instituted by Mr Kewal Nohria, Past President AIMA, the “AIMA – Kewal Nohria Award For Academic Leadership in Management Education”.
The objective of the award is to recognize the professional experience and academic achievement of an individual in the area of Management education.
Our idea is to establish the award as recognition of a significant contribution to Institution building process, an illustrious career, a role model management academic who is well respected among the community of management students, researchers, faculty and practitioners.
The first Award for Academic leadership in Management Education was conferred upon Dr Pritam Singh on the occasion of inaugural session of AIMA’s Knowledge 2009 on 7th October 2009 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi.
The Award was presented by Mr Kamal Nath, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
