| How to Prepare for AIMA Examination |
Examination is the ultimate test that you face to prove your proficiency in the subject. Since time in memorial, examinations have been the most robot system to test the knowledge, concepts, understanding and application of subject.
AIMA’s end term examinations are around the corner and the stress of examination is felt by one and all. Every one is trying to find the gateway to successfully clear the examination. But like all examinations there are certain Do’s and Don’t for AIMA examination. And some tips which can help you perform better in examinations.
The Do’s and Don’ts of Examination
Pre Examination Preparation
• Understand the subject thoroughly.
• Stick to the course curriculum provided for the subject.
• Try to cover the maximum number of topics.
• Cover the topic, which are considered more important thoroughly.
• Do not try to memorize answers since these courses are not traditional courses, but application based courses, where theoretical concepts are tested along with practical application.
• Try to wider the scope of application of concept and find relevant examples from corporate world.
• For quantitative/finance/research and other mathematical base subject practice to solve examples.
• You can always look into the old/past question paper to understand the pattern.
During Examination
• Write your Registration No, Paper Code, Subject Name and Examination Centre carefully on the answer sheet, before attempting any answer.
• Never write any other personal information like Name etc this may lead to cancellation of answer sheet at the time of evaluation.
• Read the question paper carefully, before attempting any answer. Spend at least 5-10 minutes in choosing the question.
• Attempt those questions, which you are confident.
• Always write the Question No (as given in Question Paper) in the answer sheet.
• If the question has different parts, attempt all the parts.
• See the mark allotted to each sub question and accordingly stress on it.
• Stick to word limit – very long answer do not ensure higher marks.
• Be specific to the point. Use correct English.
• Use flow Diagrams, figures and examples where ever needed
• Use green or blue highlighter or sketch pen.
• Never use Red colour pen/highlighter.
• Try to attempt new question on new page.
• If using extra answer sheet always write your Registration Number on it and make an entry on the main answer sheet. Attach the supplementary answersheet.
• Use of example, definition make better impression.
• Allocate time for each answer, eg. 25-30 minutes for each answer.
• Keep cool and do not panic.
• Don’t indulge in any malpractices like cheating, discussing in examination hall as your Registration Number may be noted by Invigilator and sent to Examination Controller, which may lead to mark deduction or cancellation of answer sheet.
• In case you have any doubt or query always ask the invigilator rather than any fellow examinee.
Keep things in perspective. The examination might seem like the most crucial thing right now, but in the grander scheme of your whole life they only a small part.
Post Examination
• Never criticise yourself for where you think you went wrong. Congratulate yourself for giving the examinations.
